I’m thinking about that book/movie Hoot that I was obsessed with in like sixth grade….I fucking loved that book, because it was right up my animal loving save-the-planet ass, and I loved the movie, because it let me know that Brie Larson had the power to snap Logan Lerman and Cody Linley into multiple pieces with her bare hands, but I’m thinking about that story right now and like….that boy was literally living in the wild. He ran away from home and was living loose in the everglades and no one gave a single shit???? all the kids reading the book were like ‘Wow! He can catch fish with his bare hands! So cool! He’s all alone and living The Life!’ HE WAS A HOMELESS 12 YEAR OLD!!! Did anyone in his family even report him missing?!?! what the fuck
Mullet Fingers had ONE concerned boyfriend and ONE mildly concerned stepsister but other than that!!! ZERO fucks were given for his health and safety!!! He was living shoeless in the everglades!!!! He had a bag of snakes!!! He was wrangling alligators!!! Why did no one care!!!!
