The ad was pulled after it was criticized as racist and colorist.

Dove’s parent company Unilever has also come under fire for selling skin lightening products in Asia. Skin lighteners are projected to become a $23 billion industry by 2020. The Asia-Pacific is the fastest growing market worldwide.

Skin lightening soaps and creams are common in Asia and Africa but are also used in Europe and North America.

Mercury is a common ingredient in these products.

It can cause kidney damage, depression, and environmental problems.

i’ve said it over and over again. no culture that worships pale, white skin like asian and middle eastern culture can possibly be allies to a race that’s made up of mostly dark skin people. this is why asian and middle eastern cultures are rife with anti-blackness.
