When ur like: “this show is very good.  In fact, it is too good.  I want something I can watch with 30% brain and this is a minimum 60% brain show.”

The worst is the middle of the road shows: It takes MORE than 30% brain, but less than 70% brain so you can’t watch it for background noise but its not deep enough to just sit and watch it to enjoy it.

my smart caring about other ppl brain with standards that really shouldn’t be that hard to meet but never get met anyway: shiro being gay is great, but the fact that he’s gay on top of being a disabled japanese man with ptsd just makes the writers’ treatment of him that much worse. he was meant to be gay from the beginning, and he was also meant to die from the beginning. they either planned to reveal he was gay then kill him off, or kill him off then reveal he was gay, both of which are extremely cruel. the fact that he’s being shown explicitly in a relationship with a man is great but we should regard this as the bare minimum, because that’s what it is. i’m delighted that he’s gay but representation that isn’t treated well means barely anything, everyone that shiro is meant to represent deserves a lot better than how he’s treated.
