this is from a real diary by a 13-year-old girl in 1870. teenage girls are awesome and they’ve always been that way.

Read this – oh my goodness, this girl was wonderful.

Where can I read this in full?

It’s from

Real American Girls Tell Their Own Stories, and that particular section is by Martha Carey Thomas who grew up to be a suffragist, linguist and renowned educator, as well as a badass lesbian.

heat exhaustion vs heat stroke vs stroke

the symptoms can be v similar, but the treatment is v different.

Heat exhaustion symptoms include heavy sweating, clammy pale skin, and muscle cramps. Typically the person is dizzy, incoherent, or faint.  Get the person to shade/cool air, and help them drink water (only if fully alert). Use cold compresses, and only shower if the person is fully conscience, otherwise there is a risk of fainting/drowning.

Heat stroke is most easily noticed due to the lack of sweat combined with hot dry skin. for heat stroke, getting to a hospital for intravenous fluids is extremely important. DO NOT force liquids, as the patient can vomit or choke. get the person to shade/ac as fast as you can & use cool damp cloths to cool temp until help arrives. call 911 immediately once you notice the hot, dry skin (or whatever the emergency service number is where you live)

But women discrimination is a myth right??

Imagine how many people’s lives they ruined. There were probably so many women that went in there knowing they destroyed that test. Yet, when they got their results back…they had to be so confused and disappointed. Mentally and emotionally, that had to be quite the blow. Anyway, this is evil.

This is so evil lmfaoooooo like the world really hates women and we can’t even do anything about it. How depressing.

#i mean i know it’s true of all Darcys but you do get the distinct impression that this one has lost the knack of smiling  #probably since his parents died and he’s been in charge of everything  #he’ll smile around georgiana somewhat of course  #but i really honestly don’t think he smiles in true ease and delight at anything  #and then this just …happens to his face  #while speaking to lizzie  #no wonder georgiana looks up at him loving it like eyebrows fucking raised
