School sexual harassment aside, first time somebody grabbed my ass without my consent in the outside world, I just started immediately bawling my eyes out right there and then. The dudebro who did it was trying to calm me down and convince me it wasn’t that serious and that he didn’t do anything wrong and that it was basically a compliment, but I just kept crying more and more loudly and moving away from him every time he tried to approach me to placate me. Then like 30 people jumped to my defense and they all started yelling at him and pushing him around and telling him how it wasn’t okay, how that kind of behavior wasn’t acceptable, how he needs to apologize, and so on. Turns out, it’s much harder to silence 30+ people than it is one small girl. If I had the courage to punch him and I wasn’t so scared of him, I think I would’ve done it too. If you think it is okay to grab somebody’s body without their permission and you expect the victim to just accept it and not react in any way, unfollow me right now.
