This is probably going all over the internet already but The Dragon Prince’s most capable and badass human warrior character happens to be a Mute Woman who uses sign language on screen, LIBERALLY, like this is a woman who has a lot to say and they did not just write her off as being unable to communicate. She has a translator who vocally translates for her as she signs so people can follow but she also had a few moments which involve exclusively signing that really added to her character. I don’t know an incredible deal about signing but I know she was using ASL because I recognized the sign for “talk” in a scene and other little tidbits. I’m so down for this and it was such a pleasant surprise and her name is General Amaya
